What You'll Do
- Visual System Ownership: Define, develop, and maintain a comprehensive visual system and guidelines for our product, including illustration styles, photo treatments, shapes, textures, UI iconography, and more.
- Illustration & Asset Creation: Design and produce a wide range of custom illustrations, icons, and visual assets that enhance user understanding and engagement.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Product Designers and Content Designers to integrate visual designs seamlessly into user flows and prototypes. Collaborate with Engineers to ensure accurate and efficient implementation.
- Brand Consistency: Ensure all visual elements adhere to and strengthen our overall brand identity within the product experience.
- Scalability & Efficiency: Develop visual solutions that are scalable, maintainable, optimized, and contribute to an efficient design process.
- Innovation & Exploration: Explore new visual trends and techniques to continuously elevate the quality and impact of our product visuals.
- Guidance & Mentorship: Provide visual design expertise and mentorship to other team members.
About You
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Illustration, Visual Communication, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 6+ years of experience as a Visual Designer or Illustrator, with a strong focus on digital product design.
- Expert proficiency in industry-standard design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Illustrator and Photoshop).
- A compelling portfolio showcasing a strong understanding of visual design principles and a proven ability to create sophisticated illustration systems and diverse visual assets for digital products.
- Deep understanding of visual hierarchy, composition, color theory, typography, and iconography.
- Experience working within and contributing to design systems.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
- Ability to articulate and defend design decisions clearly and persuasively.
- Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and how visual design impacts user experience across web app, mobile app, email, and other product touchpoints.
- Experience working in an agile development environment is a plus.

- Experience with the financial technology (fintech) industry, legaltech industry, or SaaS products.
