Job Summary:

We're looking for an experienced SEO Specialist to join our SEO Strategy team and play a pivotal role in helping Risepoint grow brand awareness, organic traffic, and new student enrollments for our University partners. As an SEO Specialist, you understand the importance of EEAT, on-page SEO, content marketing and technical SEO and have successfully demonstrated your ability to execute website optimizations that improve rankings 

 

You’ll work alongside other SEO Specialists on the SEO Strategy team to identify strategic opportunities to grow organic traffic, monitor search results and website performance, and advocate for the most impactful projects to meet key business objectives for your assigned university partners. You'll work collaboratively with a marketing team that consists of product marketing managers, copywriters and UX specialists, as well as multiple technology, product, and design teams.

What You'll Do: 

  • Monitor search results and organic performance for 15+ higher education websites, identifying opportunities with the highest potential to improve KPIs by completing comprehensive reporting, data analysis and website optimizations 

  • Lead SEO initiatives that resonate with prospective online students in meaningful ways and successfully lead to more organic traffic and conversions utilizing a mix of content marketing, outreach and technical SEO. 

  • Stay current on digital marketing trends and champion innovation to help inform our SEO strategies and tactics. 

  • Perform keyword research to inform content development and ideate on topics for content marketing. 

  • Collaborate with cross functional teams and deliver insights that help prioritize projects, A/B tests, and website enhancements. 

  • Interface with developers and engineers to improve page speed, page experience and core web vitals. 

  • Complete SEO Audits, create reports and investigate issues when algorithm updates roll out. 

  • Consult with university partners about improvement to their websites and share recommendations that may mutually benefit both parties. 

  • Maintain communication with marketing leadership by sharing updates about SEO initiatives and reporting on performance. 

 

 

 

Job Requirements: 

  • 2+ years of experience in a digital marketing role; experience in growth marketing or SEO preferred. 

  • Expertise with Microsoft Office Excel and PowerPoint. 

  • Proven ability to think creatively and outside the box. 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to inform, persuade, and hold attention. 

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage several projects at once. 

  • Experience with discovering insights using a variety of analytics tools including Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Looker Studio, and Tableau. 

  • Experience working with popular SEO tools (SEMrush, AHREFS, Screaming Frog, etc.) or a willingness to learn these tools. 

Nice to Haves:

  • Experience working in higher education  

  • Passion for Risepoint’s mission, services and community 

  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript 

  • Interest in data analytics (Python/SQL) or data visualization  

  • Familiarity with WordPress or other content management systems
