To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a/an Product Management Operations Director.
Reporting to the VP, Product Line Strategy & Business Development the Product Management Operations Director manage projects foundational to the product management org, manage ongoing cross-functional P&L analysis, conduct continuous improvement reviews for processes, and serve as chief of staff to align the team to implement best in class product management practices.
What a typical day looks like:
- Lead cross-functional teams to orchestrate product management-related projects
- Identify and mitigate risks that could impact project objectives
- Engage in talent hawking to attract and retain top industry talent.
- Oversee the P&L for the product line, ensuring financial targets are met and profitability is maximized.
- Analyze financial performance and implement strategies to enhance margin and return on sales (ROS).
- Lead continuous improvement efforts to optimize P&L management, monitoring and review processes.
- Make recommendations and execute projects to maintain product health, reliability, and supportability.
- Project manage and support product certification and compliance requirements with PM and R&D.
- Act as a communication arm for VP, Product Line Strategy & Business Development with team members and other stakeholders.
- Ensure product staff meetings are relevant, well-structured, and properly prepared
- Support product managers to ensure product and customer mix compliance oversight, adhering to NEMA/IEC industry standards.
- Implement best practices for sustainability and ESG operational strategies.
- Oversee ramps, transfers, and operational projects to ensure efficient execution and alignment with strategic goals.
- Drive product regionalization strategies to optimize market reach and customer satisfaction.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and operational excellence across the organization.
The experience we’re looking to add to our team,
- Business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA mindset.
- Experience 10+ years of experience in product line management, business development, or related roles.
- Proven track record in P&L management and strategic planning.
- Strong understanding of market dynamics, including data centers, colocation providers and hyperscales.
- Experience in sustainability initiatives and ESG strategies.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Hyperscale and Colocation critical power market knowledge preferred.
