What you will be doing

Reporting to the Lead Solutions Architect, you will have technical ownership and lead on end-to-end architecture and solution development right from technology evaluation, running POCs, and seeing them through to Production, while working very closely with engineering and product teams influencing technical decisions, features, and the roadmap.

We expect you as the Platform Technical Architect to establish a strong understanding of the overall application portfolio, business priorities, and success measures to design DevOps/CI-CD solutions using PaaS and SaaS components for utilisation across our Engineering departments.

Key drivers -

  • You will Research, Evaluate, and Prototype new technologies, tools, and products.
  • Ensure all solutions exhibit high levels of functional and non-functional quality.
  • Develop deep relationships with key decision-makers, be an evangelist with customers, partners, and external communities.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and define solution architecture.
  • Maintain deep technical skills in key relevant areas and develop a good awareness of trends and competitive insights, while sharing this knowledge with the technical community.
  • Provide technical guidance and leadership to other architects and developers.
  • Lead the design and development of technology solutions that meet business needs.
  • Participate in Design and Code Reviews, to ensure a high degree of quality and to ensure Standards, Patterns, and Architecture are maintained.

What you’ll need-

  • Extensive experience in infrastructure-as-code development, with a minimum of 80% hands-on development contribution.
  • Comprehensive experience of designing, implementing, and maintaining Kubernetes environments, including technologies such as Helm and KEDA.
  • Solid experience of the Azure and Azure DevOps platforms.
  • Deep understanding of DevOps and DevSecOps principles.
  • Experience with API Management solutions.
  • Good understanding of API design components such as identity (OAuth, OIDC, SAML), REST, GraphQL, CORS, TLS, rate limiting.
  • Hands-on experience of designing and implementing monitoring solutions.
  • Working knowledge of application security, performance, and resiliency.
  • Good understanding of networking, both at layers 4 and 7, and firewalls.
  • Experience leading technical teams and managing projects.
  • Deep understanding of enterprise architecture patterns, methodologies, and tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems and deliver quality solutions.
