Job Posting Description
Responsible for ensuring that initiatives are implemented and supported in accordance with Takeda's technology standards and compliance and security guidelines.
Accountable for the financial integrity and alignment of IT investments in support of the PDT Business Unit, maximizing business value of global and local initiatives.
He or she will work closely with senior business leaders, domain experts, and external partners to identify and build core capabilities, maximize utility of features, and efficiently solve for functionalities critical to market success for applications already being delivered.
Additionally, he or she must have a proven ability to build relationships and influence across the organization at all levels, as well as superior communication and presentation skills.
He or she is an embedded member of the leadership team for the Head of PDT IT and an indirect reporting member of the PDT BU leadership team. builds and leads a productive and collaborative organization with a high-performing, innovative and aligned culture.
Job Function and Description
Product Management:
  • Manage the end-to-end product strategy and roadmap, as designed by Business Partnering and Innovation teams, working closely with business stakeholders and technology solution leaders
  • Own product commitments and outcomes of existing products to the business. Effectively communicate strategies & trade-offs up to senior leaders and down to development team.
  • Synthesize market changes and technology improvements into actionable improvements for the platform.
  • Clearly set the product prioritization with a balance of near-term deliverables and longer-term investment in strategic wins which can be measured.
  • Follow the established agile Product Management framework of phased delivery and continuous improvement.
  • Recommend new processes, workarounds, and flow changes to ensure constant improvement and evolution of products.
  • Partner closely with internal and external stakeholders to provide a global viewpoint and extend applications across use cases
  • Support the development of long-term, multi-year IT roadmap, programs and plans for the PDT BU
  • Support IT planning process and budget discussions, culminating in the prioritized annual investment portfolio
  • Support the development of sound business cases that support, improve and/or transform business operations, processes and strategy and that provide benefit to PDT BU
  • Provide senior leadership with visibility on projects and initiatives, including the profile, health and performance of the portfolio
  • Rapidly adapt to change and define creative, cost-effective solutions for Takeda
  • Interact and collaborate with IT teams, including other Business Partners, IT architects, IT peers and service partners across the IT organization to ensure alignment to PDT business solutions.
  • Collaborate with IT Operations and Strategy to define and deliver application support across the landscape
  • Follow standard Takeda methodology and ensure consistency of solutions with a focus on compliance

Support:
  • Provide expectation of service levels (OLA or SLAs) and performance to the service management organization
  • Collaborate with IT organization to ensure that appropriate service design and transition work has been conducted prior
  • Coordinate/oversee work among IT teams to ensure dependencies are understood, managed and communicated
  • Manage internal IT-related tasks through implementation and ensure effective transition to appropriate service management teams

Team Development:
  • People management responsibilities for Business Analysts, Product Owners, Technical/Data Strategy Leads and other team members
  • Coach staff in core IT competencies and seek professional development and job enrichment opportunities for team members
  • Proactively contribute to one's own IT team by leading and participating in team meetings & creating a positive work environment

Financial:
  • Support annual budget and periodic forecasts for both personnel and investment portfolios
  • In collaboration with Project Management teams, provide oversight and direction to ensure appropriate financial management of project costs
  • Possess a working knowledge of Takeda's financial and procurement policies and procedures, including RFx processes

Education and Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, engineering and/or business administration (required)
  • Advanced degree in business or technology, such as an MBA (preferred)
  • 10+ years working experience managing and/or directing technology projects and the management and delivery of technology solutions (required)
  • More than 3 years' working experience in an IT role supporting multi-unit business, healthcare or retail pharma a plus
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or Scrum/Agile certification a plus

  • Incumbent will make decisions related to prioritized investments in support of PDT Business Unit including product/service portfolio and associated SLAs
  • Incumbent will make decisions on organizational alignment and resource allocation
  • Incumbent will analyze, articulate and support alternative technology solutions in the best interest of clients

Internal - Senior IT management and other IT Business Partner colleagues; functional area stakeholders; finance, HR and procurement services
External - Technology vendors, providers and innovators
Other Job Requirements
Domestic and limited international travel to Plasma Centers and Plasma Testing Labs will be required.

U.S. Base Salary Range:
$208,200.00 - $327,140.00
The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/ or long-term incentives. U.S. based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. U.S. based employees are also eligible to receive, per calendar year, up to 80 hours of sick time, and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
